Polenta is a thick mash of corn semolina used to make many traditional recipes in northern Italy. You can prepare it in many ways. Hot and cold and for both sweet and savoury dishes. Polenta is gluten-free. Would you like to give it a try? Here is how to prepare traditional basic polenta: For every 100 g of polenta, use 350 ml of water or broth. Bring this to a boil and add the polenta while stirring. Simmer gently for about 15 minutes while continuing to stir. Take the pan off the heat and mix in, for example, Parmesan cheese and/or 1 egg. You can also let it solidify afterwards and fry it crispy on both sides with some olive oil.
