Frankincense – Boswellia serrata
Since time immemorial, frankincense has been considered a valuable, magical-mythical substance, without which hardly any religious ritual took place. In addition, frankincense was and is an important remedy in traditional Indian, Arabic, Egyptian, Greco-Roman and Chinese medicine. Frankincense also has a tradition in Ayurveda that goes back thousands of years.
Frankincense is the dried, natural resin of the frankincense bush (olibanum), which contains boswellic acid. The Indian frankincense Boswellia serrata is distinguished from the Arabian Boswellia sacra. To obtain the resin, the bark of the trees is scratched. The plant sap that then emerges solidifies in the air to form resinous red-yellowish or brownish grains. At normal temperatures, these grains are almost odorless; only when heated do they develop their typical strong aromatic scent.
Frankincense cannot be harvested in arbitrary quantities, and the plant thrives only in the most unusual regions of the world, where there is both desert and rain-bearing mountains. Thus, the growing conditions of frankincense bushes are extremely demanding.
The Boswellia serrata frankincense used in this product comes from India and is not a simple frankincense extract. Boswellia serrata raw material is standardized for boswellic acids and always contains at least 70 percent boswellic acids, 20 percent beta-boswellic acids and 2 percent AKBA acid (3-0-acetyl-11-keto-beta-boswellic acid).
Turmeric – Curcumin
Known for its earthy, fiery color and peppery flavor, turmeric is much more than a simple curry spice. It belongs to the ginger family (Zingiberaceae) and has been used in Ayurvedic medicine since ancient times. Curcumin and its derivatives, also known as curcuminoids, are biologically active components of the spice plant turmeric (Curcuma longa) that are extracted from the root.
The curcuma extract used for this product is standardized to the curcuminoids. With 95 percent curcuminoids, this raw material contains a particularly high proportion of the active components of the curcuma root.
Ginger
Ginger is a root with many good properties that have a positive effect on the mind and body. In European cuisine, ginger has only gained popularity as a spicy ingredient in recent years, so there are now numerous and varied recipes, such as for pumpkin soup with ginger. In summer, small pieces or slices of ginger, together with lemon juice, make a refreshing cold drink out of mineral water, and in winter they add soothing spice to warming tea.
In China and India, ginger root has been used since ancient times not only as a seasoning for food, but also as a therapeutic agent. In Chinese pharmacopoeias, in Ayurveda and also in the Talmud, ginger is mentioned several times.
The high-quality ginger extract used for this product is standardized to contain 5 percent gingerol.

Directions: Take 1 serving (1 capsule) 2 times daily, before main meals with plenty of still water (at least 200 ml). Don’t chew.
