How to use: The algae kombu is traditionally used to aromatize the water which is used to prepare soups, stocks, rice, stews, sauces and also to cook meat, fish and seafood. Due to its high iodine content, it is recommended to use it only for the elaboration of infusions and stock as follow: Cook at the rate of 1 gram of dried kombu per litre of water for at least five minutes. Once cooked, kombu must be removed. It can be also cooked as an ingredient in stews but removed at the end.
